The one-year Bachelor’s degree in Chemical and Nuclear Metrology trains high-level technicians in metrology, combining analytical and nuclear chemistry. Offered exclusively as a work-study program, it combines university teaching with professional immersion.
The training schedule includes three weeks at university for two weeks in the company from September to February, followed by a full immersion in the company from March onwards.
Students benefit from Subatech’s infrastructure. In 2019, the Bachelor’s degree was evaluated by I2EN and awarded a label, testifying to its academic and professional excellence.
On completion of the course, students will be able to :
- Assessing chemical and nuclear risks ;
- Master and apply health, safety, environmental and quality procedures in accordance with current standards;
- Collect and prepare samples for chemical or nuclear analysis;
- Use physico-chemical analysis and metrology equipment to evaluate results and validate analytical methods;
- Manage multidisciplinary projects, individually and in teams, taking into account scientific, technical, environmental, economic and human objectives and constraints.
Graduates can go on to work in R&D centers, quality control departments, engineering and consulting firms, small and medium-sized businesses and large industrial groups in the nuclear sector, including electronuclear and medical applications. This bachelor’s degree is designed for rapid professional integration, and is not intended for further study.
