Board of Directors
Funcitoning
The Board of Directors is the governing body that oversees and guides the institute’s strategy, representing the interests of its members and other stakeholders, such as partners. Its main functions are as follows:
Strategic Direction: It works with the executive team to define the institute’s long-term vision, mission, and strategic objectives. This includes approving major action plans, the budget, and significant decisions.
Member Admission: It decides on the admission or exclusion of a member, in accordance with the conditions set out in the internal regulations or the partnership charter.
Oversight and Accountability: The board monitors the performance of the executive management. It has the authority to appoint, evaluate, and dismiss the CEO. It also ensures that the company is financially sound, effectively manages risks, and complies with all legal and ethical standards.
In essence, while the management team is responsible for daily operations, the board provides high-level direction, oversight, and governance to ensure the company is managed effectively and responsibly for the long-term benefit of its owners and stakeholders.
