This 12-month sandwich course trains assistant engineers specialized in radiation protection and ionizing radiation metrology. Combining technical knowledge (protection against internal/external exposure, metrology) and a global vision of safety issues, it prepares students to assess and prevent risks in both normal and critical conditions.

- Assessing radiological risks, integrating other occupational hazards
- Select appropriate measurement and analysis techniques
- Organize and supervise a radiation protection team, including subcontractors
- Implement protection techniques that comply with regulatory requirements

Work-study & coaching
The course is organized on a sandwich basis: 1 month at INSTN (CEA Cadarache), 1 month in a company, with double tutoring throughout the contract (apprenticeship or professionalization).

- Issued by Aix-Marseille University and co-accredited by INSTN
- Accessible to Bac+2 students (BTS, DUT, L2), 700 h in total, including 26 weeks of sandwich courses or internships
