Description

The aim of the Hygiene, Health and Environment University Bachelor of Technology (BUT) is to train technicians in the prevention of occupational, technological and environmental risks in the fields of hygiene, safety and the environment.

This GOAL is divided into several specialties from the second year onwards, including radiation protection and nuclear safety. The aim of this program is to train prevention specialists for all sectors of the nuclear industry: fuel cycle, electronuclear production, research and onboard reactors.

At the end of their studies, students will be able to contribute to the safety of nuclear installations, carry out a risk analysis, evaluate radiological risks, conduct a safety study, draw up files associated with radiological waste, and interact with the various players involved in nuclear safety.

Taught by industry professionals and academics, the courses combine lectures, case studies and practical work on a school site.

Once they have graduated, students can enter a wide range of professions such as radiation protection officer, radiation protection project manager, SPR officer, radiation protection method technician, nuclear and environmental measurement technician, assistant nuclear risk engineer, among the major groups and partner companies.

The GOAL can be taken in the second and third years as a work-study program in private and public sector companies, under an apprenticeship or professionalization contract.
