I2EN has an opening for a key position to steer the quality, recognition and influence of the I2EN Label in France and internationally. You will be at the heart of French academic strategy in the nuclear field.

Job offer — I2EN is looking for a passionate professional to develop and promote French academic training programs and support the nuclear industry, both in France and internationally. The candidate will be able to lead, manage projects and represent I2EN strategically. The position reports to I2EN’s Executive Director. A key position to steer the quality, recognition and influence of the I2EN label in France and internationally, at the heart of French academic strategy for a major subject: the fight against climate change, energy sovereignty — nuclear energy.

Main tasks

Coordinating the academic network and promoting the Label I2EN

  • Develop and maintain network of key academic partners (schools, universities, national and international organizations)
  • Prepare and coordinate Expert Committee meetings, and ensure implementation of recommendations
  • Coordinate and support the Expert Committee’s certification work
  • Promote the I2EN label to schools in France and abroad
  • Organize and supervise the award of the I2EN Prize for academic excellence.

Representation and development

  • Represent the I2EN to European nuclear training and education bodies and the European Commission.
  • Help define academic strategy and promote French know-how.
  • Supervise a project manager and/or interns.
  • Helping partner establishments find funding for internships and training courses

Participate in the development of international projects

  • Assist management in the development of ad hoc training, at the request of countries
  • Support the development of customized training courses (Master Classes, international training courses)
  • Contribute to I2EN’s institutional communications (website, newsletters, social networks)
  • Participate in national and international industry events.

Profile required

Training and experience

  • At least a Master’s degree (Bac+5) or engineering diploma in a relevant field (nuclear energy, education management, training creation).
  • Minimum 7 to 10 years’ professional experience, including at least 5 years in the nuclear sector
  • Proven experience in national and international project management (autonomy and successful track record are key)
  • Fluency in written and spoken French
  • Good command of written and spoken English (ability to negotiate and present internationally).
  • Experience in managing or supervising at least one person or team.

Technical and cross-disciplinary skills

  • Good knowledge of the French and international academic ecosystem and network in this field
  • International experience in nuclear energy
  • Strategic skills in network management and development (institutional and financial partnerships)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and reflexes (communication writing, public speaking)
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in an international environment
  • Sense of organization, responsibility and rigor.

Working conditions

  • Gross annual salary depending on experience.
