This strategic alliance strengthens France’s international training offering, and demonstrates a shared commitment to excellence in nuclear safety and radiation protection, responding to the global need for human skills development. With the renaissance of nuclear energy and the development of fields such as large-scale reactors and SMRs, the human and institutional aspects remain essential. <\/p>

ASNR, formed from the merger of the Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN) and the Institute for Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN) on January 1, 2025, oversees the control of civil nuclear activities in France on behalf of the State. It also conducts missions in research, expertise, training, and public information. Strengthening the skills in nuclear safety and radioprotection of the involved parties (safety authorities, technical support, industry) is crucial to maintaining safe use. ASNR’s membership in I2EN aligns with a synergy between training, expertise, and regulation. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

As a member of I2EN, ASNR, in interaction with other members, will actively contribute to skill enhancement through its specialists’ participation in training and other knowledge-sharing initiatives on technical and regulatory topics in nuclear safety and radioprotection. ASNR will have greater control over its contribution to major topics of interest. <\/p>

In this context, the ASNR also wishes to promote its own training offer through the I2EN internationally, marketed under the ” ASNR Academy<\/a> ” brand, and, more generally, to contribute to the development of French approaches and approaches to nuclear safety and radiation protection. By combining the strengths of all its members, I2EN will be able to respond more effectively to the growing needs of international players – nuclear developing countries, multilateral organizations and training institutions – by drawing on France’s long-standing and recognized expertise in the fields of safety, radiation protection, regulation and organization. <\/p>

I2EN and ASNR share the same ambition: to build a training offering that is both complementary and decisive in sustainably supporting the development of skills in the nuclear sector. I2EN brings its network and coordination capability, while ASNR strengthens this dynamic with its technical, regulatory, and institutional expertise. Recent exchanges between their teams have already brought about concrete synergies: joint training projects, the design of specialized modules, and the promotion of the French approach to nuclear safety and radioprotection to international partners. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
