The aim of this internship is to design and implement a prototype of an interactive, configurable tool for estimating the skill requirements of a nuclear program (what skills, in what volume and over what timeframe), in line with the IAEA Milestones. The intern will conduct in-depth research into skills requirements according to several key criteria: project phase (NEPIO, preparatory, construction), country’s level of industrial maturity, business model (turn-key vs. local supply-chain) and technology (PWR vs. SMR).<\/p>

On this basis, he\/she will develop a simulator incorporating dynamic gap analysis<\/em> (demand vs. supply), including training path modeling and attrition. The tool will be compatible with GIFEN’s MATCH taxonomy and linked to I2EN-approved training courses. Deployed as a web interface (Python\/Streamlit), the prototype will enable customized scenarios to be built for new-entrant countries, with visualizations (tables, temporal graphs) and training recommendations. Expected deliverables: a functional prototype, a methodological report and a demonstration. <\/p>

You will be directly involved in this project, at the heart of a technical, international and strategic environment.<\/p>

    • Master’s student or engineering school, specializing in nuclear energy<\/li>
    • Interest in and knowledge of nuclear skills management (IAEA “Milestones” approach)<\/li>
    • Mathematical modeling and data analysis (differential equations, gap analysis, time forecasts)<\/li>
    • Python programming (pandas, numpy, Streamlit or interactive interfaces)<\/li>
    • Technical communication and tool development (report writing, visualizations)<\/li>
    • Good level of written and spoken English (working in an international environment)<\/li>
    • Good writing skills and a flair for graphic design are a plus<\/li>
