The department is organized into several divisions, including the Direction de l&#8217;\u00e9nergie, the Service du climat et de l&#8217;efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique, and a sous-direction devoted to general affairs and synthesis. There is also a specific mission dedicated to hydrogen, integrated into the general management.  <\/p>\n<p>The DGEC plays a central, multifunctional role. It is responsible for drawing up and implementing France&#8217;s energy policy, with a focus on combating global warming and reducing atmospheric pollution. It ensures the smooth operation of energy markets such as electricity, gas and oil. In terms of nuclear policy, it integrates climate issues into its strategy.
