THE PLACE OF NUCLEAR EDUCATION AT MINES Saint-Étienne
The engineering degree
Recognised at national and European level, the nuclear facilities engineering course is the national reference for people wishing to become engineers specialising in the nuclear field through a sandwich course. The ISTP’s expertise in this field is demonstrated by the nuclear cluster it has created with the IRUP and by its strong presence in the sector’s networks (SFEN, Copsar, IFARE, I2EN, Nuclear Valley, etc.).
One of the missions of the École des Mines Saint-Étienne is to conduct scientific research at the highest level and to promote it to improve the competitiveness of companies. Its objective is to support the country’s economic policy and accelerate sustainable industrial development through innovative and responsive contributions.
This research, of a high scientific level, results in publications recognised by the international scientific community. Research is closely linked to training, which is reflected in the attractiveness of the masters programmes and a recognised doctoral school.
